This is my first try with pastel in almost fifteen years. I used pastel pencils, and didn't even know that I had those (I officially hate my scanner. )
Thank you, Monica A few years back my brother gave me a whole set of artist's pencils, and I took the box and put it away. I wanted to keep them for my son, and as 90% were coloured pencils and I was never an avid user of coloured pencils, I never looked at the box closer. When I had to rearrange my sideboard, I rediscovered the box and saw that it had quite a variety of pencils. I have never used pastel pencils before, so I just had to try. Back at school I had pastel crayons but I never really used them because nobody taught us how to work with them or that they work best with special paper etc. I probably threw the crayons away during all of our movings Probably, I have now reached the age where I am eager to rediscover old passions and new ones
